ACM was build up in 1982 with inspiration of Mahatma Gandhi. 5 youngsters developed a social group for serving the poorest of the poor in Orissa. Today over 100 persons are working at ACM directly in the villages or in the center of ACM. To build up schools, health centers, drinking water points, vocational training centers and empowerment projects for women are the basic activities for ACM. The villages are supported directly with incoming donations. The ACM members are sitting together with the villagers and together they decide where the support is much efficient and need. The villagers and tribals are benefit with practical things like trainings, education, nursery for plants, road building etc. For ACM is the biggest challenge to bring education and knowledge into the villages that they becoming a strong voice against injustice and exploitation.
