Volunteer Partnerships for West Africa (VPWA) affiliate school was established to enrol children in the community who by virtue of poverty are not able to pay for school fees. The school has a current enrolment of over 250 children. They receive tuition from unpaid volunteers both from Ghana, Europe and North America.

We want to develop the thinking ability and research capabilities of these deprived children by offering them an education in Information Communication Technology or Computing as part of the school curriculum so as to enhance their potential for bright future.

Teaching these unfortunate kids Information Communication Technology or Computing involves the use of computers. VPWA is currently in need of sponsors to help buy computers to set up a computer laboratory so that, all the children can go there and study and also benefit from the world of ICT. A child without computer knowledge in this 21st century is bound to be at the disadvantage.

We believe in creating equal opportunities for all persons by providing them with education and on various field of endeavours and this is buttress by the Millennium Development Goal's.

This project needs an urgent attention especially when the government has introduce computer studies for mainstream educational studies and these children in our school will be taking same final exams with other urban lucky children who have access to the world of computers.

We invite you to join us by making a donation both in cash or in kind (laptops or desktops) to support towards mobilising computers for the set up of a computer laboratory for these deprived children.

  I strongly recommend this project I am interested to ship high powered low cost computers and a satellite system for DSl access for this project. I cannot provide all the funds. If you cannot ship please contact me so we can arrange to pay the supplier to ship the equipment from San Diego California $ 500 per computer and $ 8000 for the satellite system This way internet can spread all across Africa. Miss Portia Sey is very capable of handling this.

  I visited the school on Oct 23rd 2008. Portias Partner in her organization and a young french volunteer presented with high power a project which is worth to be supported. I will do my best to get some computers for the 250 pupils and hope that others will follow.
