We look after patients suffering from incurable, progressive diseases such as HIV/AIDS and Cancer. Many of these patients live in poverty and it is a daily battle wondering where the next meal is coming from. We assist whenever we can by distributing food parcels to those in most need, which often includes children heading up households. We cannot do this without your help. Please donate today and you will be offering hope and joy to our terminally ill patients who are also suffering from hunger.

A food parcel, which is made up according to World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines, costs ZAR 150 (± €14) and will provide food for a family of four for a period of about a week.

Our home based care teams which visit the patients in their own homes identify those in most need of a food parcel and deliver one to the family.

The food parcel normally includes soya mince, tea bags, maize meal, tinned fish, peanut butter, baked beans, milk powder, lard, samp, dried sugar beans, nutritional breakfast cereal powder, salt, and rice. The contents are normally packed in a plastic tub, which can be used later, and is shrink-wrapped. Note: no fresh goods or items requiring refrigeration can be included.
