Twende Pamoja - Freundeskreis Tansania e.V. was established in 2000, now consisting of about 26 full members. All of them have been in Zanzibar or have somehow participated in various project activities over the years mainly organized by the RAA, a regional NGO. To be able to do educational work in Germany and public relations after these intense experiences in Tanzania and to further more deepen the contact to Zanzibar, Twende Pamoja was founded.

We aim to develop an awareness in Germany towards Tanzania and other developing countries. Our name Twende Pamoja comes from Kiswahili and means WE GO TOGETHER. This we do with our partner organisation Twende Pamoja Zanzibar. Its members belong to serveral partner villages from all over the island who have been planning and implementing the projects which we support financially.

  • Fresh food and cold drinks for Riziki's guests

    Donors resident in Germany receive a donation receipt for this project. We cannot guarantee that this receipt will be accepted for tax deduction outside of Germany, but we are working hard to make donations tax deductable in as many countries as possible. Fresh food and cold drinks for Riziki's guests

    The women’s cooperative “Riziki” is running a guest house in their village Pwani Mchangani on Zanzibar. To keep food fresh in a fridge and make the guest house more attractive, they want to connect their guest house to the villages power line.

      Hallo noch einmal. Nun sind die Beispielseiten doch schon auf die Twende-Betterplace-Fotoseite geladen worden. Ein tolles Beispiel dafür, wie sehr den Twendemitgliedern der Fortgang der Bildungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte auf Sansibar am Herzen liegt. Im Kochbuch gibt es auch zwei leichte Kinderrezepte und auch eine "Damenwahl".
